Sepi D.A (Doctor’s Assistant) - Parkway Vet Hospital

D.A. (Doctor’s Assistant)

Certified Brusher Bather

With The Parkway Veterinary Hospital since 2006

My contributions at The Parkway Veterinary hospital includes everything from spending quality time with our boarders to taking blood pressure readings on our patients. I am trained in many different areas of the hospital which keeps me busy, and my job exciting. I spend the majority of my work days as a doctor’s assistant checking in appointments and filling medications, but I also spend some time in boarding where I care for the pets that stay here with us. I also get to be involved in helping the technicians and doctors with patient care which allows me to continue learning new things in this field. I have recently begun formal education and training towards Pet Grooming.

Me outside of work- This past year I became a home owner where I live with my sister and our 2 close friends and 5 fuzzy critters, including my dog Chance who is a border collie that I adopted from the Humane Society 7 years ago. Since then he has become a beloved member of my family and my best friend. Together we enjoy walks through the park, and going on long hikes. In the winter I take advantage of the cold and go to the mountain for snowboarding. I spend alot of time with my friends, which keeps me young, and with my family that includes my mom, dad, sister and our second four legged member Cypress (aka -little thing) a fuzzy little Pekingese with a big personality. I love being active but also enjoy some good R and R.

The things I love most about my job are that I am in an environment where I have the ability to expand my knowledge as well as pass it on to someone else, and that we all spend 40 hours together and are still able to laugh with each other and greet one another with smiles on our faces. I am thankful that I get to be a part of the parkway family.
